One of my clients rang today to let me know that he had been out to have a look at the progress of his house.
It is currently on the early stages. The slab is down and the framing started recently.
He was shocked to find a huge penis on his rumpus floor !! Yeah, apparently someone decided to spray paint a 4 foot long penis on what will be his rumpus room! LOL!
The house has been scarred for life!
In Australia it is mandatory for 9% of your wages to go to a superannuation plan for your retirement. Your money gets invested in the market where they try to get you as much as possible because apparently the money you would save on its own would not be enough for you to retire.
There is the option to have a portion of the super to go into insurances like death cover and total and permanent disablement cover. I decided to have this option and apply for them. Big Mistake. Read the rest of this entry »
I work for a construction company so of course I think about what it would be like to build a home.
For the same price that we would pay for a tiny one bedroom apartment in the inner city suburbs we could buy some land in the outter suburbs and built a 3 bedroom house.
As much as I like the idea of a brand new spanking house with all my picks and pieces I have to admit that I really like living close to the city. We dont own a car and if we moved out to the sticks we’d have to get one, it would be a complete change!
We currently pay a shit load of money for rent so it would make sense to pay that money into a mortgage instead. Now with the boost in first home owners grant, shit, makes me want it even more! Up to $26,000 compliments of the government! Crazy!
I am afraid to jump into it and realize we cant afford it. As it is we are a bit tight now and the mortgage repayments would be slightly more and we have to consider the extra costs for a car and also possibly for a motorcycle for my crazy dude. 
I admit its tempting but would we be jumping the gun or is this perfect timing?
Isnt it nice when first thing in the morning you get a visit from a client who would rather meet with you and yell at you about how dissapointed he is about things that are out of your control rather then giving you a call.

The rain can reveal so much.
On this cold, wet, and windy day I sat in tram on my way home from work. I couldn’t help but notice all different scents coming from the wet people in the tram. Some not so strong or distinct but no doubt still smellier then if they weren’t soaked. In particular I could smell that scent of old woman mixed with cigarettes, sex and dog. Yuk.
Maybe we should wash our coats more often just in case we get caught in the rain!
I cant believe it’s been like 1.5 freaking years since my last entry!!
Where to start? What to tell?
As you may have already guessed I am back in Australia after spending 26 months in Sweden.
I made amazing friends. I got to travel a little bit. I got to work in a completely different environment. I got to experience a real proper fuckingcoldarse winter. I got to shop for European clothes as opposed to clothes made in China. I got to learn a lot about myself and made major changes. I met Mr Jimmy.
So, why you ask, did I leave? Well in case you had forgotten I like to make things complicated. I get bored. I want more. Never satisfied.
The cold shitarse winters got to me. Yes all 3 of them.
Not knowing the language isolated me. Although I have myself to blame for not trying harder to learn.
Working with 3 year olds drove me up the wall.
I have to admit I miss it. I guess I will have the pictures, the memories and most important I brought a piece of Sweden with me. … or should I say someone.
Now I’m back in the blogging world. Expect friggin many posts in the future when my wonderful boyfriend has sorted out the layout of the blog.
